Welcome to Groups!

What are Groups? They are people bound by common values and interests. Bright Beacon believed that parents might want to organize themselves by diagnosis, region, or other common interests. So now you can create specific groups based on these criteria. Want to talk to all the Bright Beacon parents from Alabama who have kids with leukemia all at once? Create a group for them and then post on your group's page! Hockey moms who have children with diabetes? Post pictures of your last get-together or picnic. Propose a holiday party. Bright Beacon wants you to be able to socialize with both individuals and groups with ease! Feeling lonely? Search for groups specifically in your zipcode or even in neighboring states!

Hello, my name is Kristina, I'm in Virginia Beach, VA. I have an 11 year old daughter with Partial Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum. Currently she is in 4th grade in an inclusion class with a 1:1 assistant to help her because she has difficulty retaining information upon initial instruction. I am looking for other families that have members with this condition.

Kristina, do you have any groups in your local area right now? If so, I just wanted you to know about a unique opportunity we are offering through Bright Beacon. Joe Valenzano, the CEO of EP magazine has announced that we can offer a one year free subscription of Exceptional Parent Magazine to groups of 50 or more who sign up for Bright Beacon, as part of our strategic alliance with them. We can talk with Joe to see if we can get you an individual subscription and then work on building up the numbers of your group here on the Bright Beacon site.
