Welcome to Groups!
What are Groups? They are people bound by common values and interests. Bright Beacon believed that parents might want to organize themselves by diagnosis, region, or other common interests. So now you can create specific groups based on these criteria. Want to talk to all the Bright Beacon parents from Alabama who have kids with leukemia all at once? Create a group for them and then post on your group's page! Hockey moms who have children with diabetes? Post pictures of your last get-together or picnic. Propose a holiday party. Bright Beacon wants you to be able to socialize with both individuals and groups with ease! Feeling lonely? Search for groups specifically in your zipcode or even in neighboring states!
DescriptionThis is a group for families that have members with Partial, Complete, Hypoplasia or Thinning of the Corpus Callosum.
This condition occurs in approximately 1:4000 births and its effects can vary greatly. Approximately 40% of the individuals with a corpus callosum disorder are also diagnosed with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder (Autistim, Aspergers or Pervasive Development Disorder Not Otherwise Specified(PDD-NOS)) due to their difficulty communicating and poor social skills.
